    Born at the Halifax Infirmary in Haliafx, Yorkshire, England (January 24th, 1963)

    Baptized (January 27th, 1963)

    Visited her first niece, Fiona in Houston. (April 21st, 1963)

  • 1964

    Moved to Canada (May 1st, 1964)

  • 1966

    Started an intensive exercise program called Patterning (September 1st, 1966)

  • 1968

    Lived in Midland, Ontario and was home schooled (September 1st, 1968)

  • 1971

    Entered Sacred Heart Elementary School in Midland at age 8 (September 1st, 1971)

  • 1973

    Went on a month long family camping excursion across Canada and the United States (August 1st, 1973)

    Moved back to England to be with sick grandparents (September 1st, 1973)

  • 1974

    Returned to Canada and settled in Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia. Penny was home schooled again until she was accepted into the school system. (July 1st, 1974)

  • 1978

    In 1978 Penny got her first AAC device called a Handy Voice. It was nicknamed the Talking Shoe box because that is what it looked like. "It was exciting to be able to actually speak my thoughts. I remember telling my mom for the first time that I loved her, she was in tears. " (January 1st, 1978)

  • 1979

    In 1979 for the UN International Year of the Child, CBC made a documentary, called Penny Kitchen. In 1980 the film won an ACTRA award for best documentary... (January 1st, 1979)

  • 1986

    Graduated from Sir John A. MacDonald High School (June 24th, 1986)

  • 1998

    Graduated from St. Mary's University with a Bachelor of Commerce degree (May 11th, 1998)

    Auntie Kathleen and Uncle Frank celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary. Auntie Pat and Uncle Stewart came to visit as well. (August 1st, 1998)

  • 2000

    Visited Peter and Lisa in Houston - went to NASA, South Padre Island and Mexico. Went backstage with Macy Gray at her concert. (April 1st, 2000)

  • 2004

    Auntie Pat and Uncle Stewart came to visit. (December 15th, 2004)

  • 2006

    Went on her first cruise to the Carribbean (May 1st, 2006)

  • 2010

    Disney World, Sea World and Universal Studios with two attendants. "I was able to go on most of the rides, and had a great time." (April 1st, 2010)

  • 2012

    Penny was thrilled to receive her much adored puppy. She named her Peppy! (January 24th, 2012)

  • 2013

    Went to First Boccia Nationals and won a Individual Bronze Medal and a Bronze Team Medal. (January 1st, 2013)

  • 2014

    Went to Whitby, Ontario for Canadian Boccia Nationals. Won a Bronze medal in Pairs. (January 1st, 2014)

  • 2015

    Ran her first Bluenose 10K (August 1st, 2015)

    The whole family gathered in Orlando and took in both Disney and Universal Studio theme parks (November 14th, 2015)

    Christmas 2015 received a new “Demand “ Boccia ramp from Great Britain. (December 25th, 2015)

  • 2016

    Penny went on a 14 day European cruise with Mom and Dad, Patricia and Dang, Jason & Joshua, Lisa and Peter, Fiona, Finn and Grady and Adele (August 6th, 2016)
